Hycroft Manor Wedding Photos – Styled Photosession Part One

Hycroft Manor Wedding

Hycroft Manor is a beautiful Edwardian heritage building right in the middle of Vancouver. Now owned by the University Women’s Club of Vancouver, it originally belonged to a Vancouver business man and was built in the early 20th century.  It now serves as a hall for special events, and is a highly sought after wedding venue. I got a chance to shoot a style session there last weekend and was really impressed by the house. The rooms are style in the edwardian fashion, and the grounds are landscaped so that a wedding in any season will be beautiful. Vancouver is a really green city throughout the year and Hycroft took advantage of the weather and planted lots of shrubs and trees that are green year round. Reading up on the history of Hycroft, I was reminded of the book, the Great Gatsby. The house had the most spectacular parties and hosted visiting royalty as well as all the Vancouver socialites. Their New Years Eve parties were apparently legendary!
