Megan and Phil got married at Phil’s parents house, on the beautiful French River, just south-west of Sudbury. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Northern Ontario, the French River is our own secret little gem. Anytime I hear of someone’s cottage on the French River, I am instantly jealous… the area is surrounded by tall pines, picturesque rivers, lakes, fields of wildflowers, and is full of campers, hikers, outdoorsmen and ideal for canoeing. Megan and Phil’s wedding was in a classic French River location, we took photos in a nearby field at an abandoned airfield, and continued back to the property for some more photos around the decorated house, and on the rocks by the river. There was a lot of work put into this wedding, and so many beautiful details! My favourite was the desert table… I just wanted to sneak a couple snacks for the road (good thing I’m vegan, or there might have been a few things missing!).
The modern-vintage-DIY theme was carried throughout the day, from the classic bridesmaids dresses, to the colour coordinated dessert table, antique picture frames and the handmade seating chart.
