I had my lovely sister-in-law Liza visit for a few days over New Years, and had my camera with me for a mini couples session in Stanley Park with her boyfriend. These two were having a trivial disagreement right before the session but despite this, they provided genuine smiles, laughter and kisses through the shoot. It was amazing to see love work between a couple in a disagreement… they didn’t LIKE each other at that moment, but they love each other and were knew it was important to channel their inner happiness for this session. They were able to forget their conflict of opinion during the session and remember why they were together in the first place. I often get feedback from photoshoots that it was a really nice connection session for the couples, they enjoyed nuzzling, holding hands and staring into each others souls for a few hours, uninterrupted by kids, pets and life. I encourage couples to continue booking couples sessions, even after they’re married or for those who aren’t married. It’s nice to have many moments captured between two people in love, and to document their growth and maturity over the years.
