Sudbury Carnival Engagement Photos – Melanie and Brandon
My love for the Carnival peaked when I was 16. I still thought carnies were cute, I was recently allowed to be go out alone after dark, and of course the movie The Notebook just came out. What 16 year old didn’t fall in love with Noah? It was, by far, the most romantic movie I had seen. As soon as I saw Melanie and Brandon, with her polka dot dress and Brandon with his suspenders and hat, I knew it was going to be a memorable shoot. Maybe it was the combination of cotton candy, candy apples or just the giddy feeling the midway always brings out in females, but Melanie rocked this Sudbury carnival engagement photos like a model!
Themed Engagement Sessions
Themed engagement sessions aren’t for everyone. This Sudbury carnival engagement worked well because the couple didn’t stray too far from their daily life and style. Brandon wears suspenders and this hat occasionally, and Melanie loves a pretty dress. Both of them like photography and fashion and are comfortable acting out scenes in these clothes in a public place. They are actually this adorable together, smile a lot, and do the romantic kiss. While this themed carnival engagement had a vintage vibe to it, its still modern and will remain timeless in years to come.
A themed engagement session doesn’t always mean dressing up, or having props. A theme can be an activity together, such as a session at the movie theatre, or an activity that both parties enjoy, such as running or hiking. The best themed sessions are at a location that is meaningful to the couple, in clothes that are comfortable and props that pertain to the location. A camping themed session for the urbanite that hasn’t set foot outside the city in ten years might not be the best theme for them, but perfect for another couple. Find something that you know both of you will have fun at, like Melanie and Brandon did at the fair, and you will have some memories capturing some of your favourite activities together.
