Three Days in Mexico, Punta Mita – Life of a Wedding Photographer

I flew down to Mexico for the weekend to shoot Meaghan and Blake’s amazing wedding. I was greeted by my driver at the Puerto Vallarta airport and whisked away in a dark suburban to Punta de Mita. At the St. Regis resort I was introduced to my private butler who assisted with any need, at any time of the day. I was blown away with the service at St. Regis… they really know how to make their guests feel special!
That evening, I had the chance to photograph Meaghan and Blake’s rehearsal dinner, complete with a mariachi band and fire dancers on the beach!
On Sunday my flight didn’t leave until the afternoon, so I thought I could get some beach time in, but the skies were cloudy all morning. 🙁

A few people were asking why I didn’t go for longer, and to be honest, I only need one day to shoot a wedding. As long as I don’t travel red-eye flights, its not a big dal to fly in the day before and out the day after the wedding… and after living in the Caribbean for a few years, I think I have used up a lifetime of beach days.

Foodsies

I LOVE authentic mexican food, and the restaurants at the St Regis really put an emphasis on fresh and local ingrediants. I was always able to get some delicious vegan meals, and ate soft shelled tacos 3 times a day each day I was there! Tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner… and I still wasn’t tired of it!
