Tina and Jason – Travel Theme Wedding at the Sudbury Hellenic Centre
Oh Tina. Where to begin? It is an honour to be considered a friend of Tina’s and I love all our memories together. Tina is a fearless female with a devious smile, always viewing the positive in life. Her energy is catching and everyone that came into contact with her on her wedding day left their with a smile on their face and a lightened heart. I am so glad I had a chance to capture Tina and Jason’s wedding and share a bit of their day with the world.
Tina recently started online dating and had been on a few dates but nothing serious arose…. until Jason. After meeting online, they started texting for about a month before actually meeting in person. Jason loved how comfortable it was communicating with Tina, her text’s would leave him laughing out loud and he admired her sarcastic wit – one that matched his own. Their first meeting they ended up talking for 6 hours. Tina couldn’t stop smiling the whole time and Jason felt like he knew Tina his whole life. Jason couldn’t wait to see Tina again, but she was working nightshift so he met her after her shift at 2am and they shared tea together in Bell Park. They have been inseparable ever since and flooding my facebook feed with their adorable selfies (which can be listed as a “hobby” for this couple), their dog, Chewie and their general adorableness.
The Wedding Day
Tina looked stunning in her Allure Bridal dress with a lace bolero by Alfred Angelo. This gracious bride was calm and relaxed throughout the day – a wedding pro after being bridesmaids in a few other weddings, which I also had the joy of shooting (See Jamaica and Sudbury Garden Weddings). Her bridesmaids looked smexy in their Dessy infinity wrap dress and Swarovski bangles. Tina borrowed a friends wedding clutch, had her mothers old rosary in it, a blue ribbon was on her bustle and her “new” was the dress.. Her makeup was done by a friend,(Christina Cacciotti), and her hair was Faiella Classic Hair.
The wedding was held at St Patricks United church and the reception was at the Sudbury Hellenic Centre. The hall was decorated with Tina and Jason’s theme – Elegant and travel. The seating chart was a map of the world with countries instead of table numbers. All the paper stuff was made by Jason’s sister, including invitations, table numbers and seating chart. The wedding favours were Montreal Canadian coloured chocolate Lindt’s, and the sign in table was a fun globe everyone got to sign. Unforgettable Weddings did the hall decorations and Rosary Florists did the bouquets and centrepieces. DJ Brian Band kept the party going all night long, well past 1am. Tina and Jason’s favourite part of the night was when the whole hall joined in their conga line!
Congratulations Tina and Jason, and I can’t wait to see you both next summer!
