Andrew and Roop’s reception day started at the Douglas Hotel in Downtown Vancouver. They spent the afternoon getting ready together before heading to the Dhaliwal Banquet Hall in Surrey. The previous day these two lovebirds tied the knot on top of a mountain at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish.Â
Roop and Andrew spend a relaxing day together in Downtown Vancouver. They got ready for the reception together in their hotel suite – Andrew very excited to wear his Indian outfit and matching shoes and Roop worrying about how to fold her Sari. Andrew sat on the couch writing his speech for the evening. Every so often he looked up and glanced at Roop getting her makeup done, smiled, and continued to write. Later that evening he delivered the most beautiful speech in the history of weddings, dedicated entirely to his wife. Once everyone dried their eyes, they spent the evening dancing, eating and visiting family and friends!
When asked if they remembered the moment the fell in love, here’s what the newlyweds have to share!Â
Roop: I knew the moment that I realized I loved him. I was sitting on the counter as he was dancing around the kitchen to music while cooking us dinner for date night. Something just kind of clicked when I watched him dancing like a fool and making food and I thought, “I think I love him..”
Andrew: It was actually during an overnight shift at a job I had when we were in school. The overnight shifts were often not very adrenaline-inducing, so I had taken to writing Roop little letters for her to wake up to. Eventually I was writing something to her at 4:00AM and I was just rambling away at the keyboard until I stopped and thought, “huh, … I think I love her!”
